Active Shooter Drill |

Today multiple agencies came together at Central Dauphin East High School for an Active Shooter Drill. The drill itself has been in the works for over a year and crews have been preparing for months. Today many aspects of local public safety came together to not only test their skills, but to learn. Crews performed multiple scenarios with focuses on neutralizing the threat and utilizing the Rescue Task Force concept to remove victims. The Rescue Task Force is a relatively new concept that allows Fire & EMS personnel to work directly alongside Law Enforcement to quickly assess and remove victims so they can receive medical care faster and increase the percentage of survival.
