STATION 41
The Friendship Fire Company of Bressler is one of five fire companies in Swatara Township. Which is located in central Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. Swatara township is about 17 square miles with about 25,000 residents. Bressler is located in the far corner and is only about a half-mile wide by a mile long. Which is mainly all residential. We average about 400 calls a year covering our township and also many neighboring boroughs and townships.

MAY 25,2010 (BOX 49)
SWATARA TWP.
Second working fire of the day & fourth of the week. A working barn fire was dispatched at 23:28. E41 laid in(1000ft), and set up for defensive master stream operations, we also supplied T50. Tankers were added to the box to suplement the water supply. E59's CAFs system was the use on the remains of the building. Crew were on scene about 4 hours.

MAY 25,2010 (BOX 50)
STEELTON BORO.
At 6:40pm a working fire was dispatched on St. Mary's drive, and upgrade to 1st alarm upon Chief 50 arrival. Heavy fire was encountered in the basement and first floor.E41's crew was sent to assist with surpression. A41 set up and filled cylinders

MAY 22,2010 (BOX 55)
HIGHSPIRE BORO.

Early Saturday morning E41 was dispatched with muliple units to assist Company 55 with a large outside fire, ( a large stockpile of skids) E41 laid supply line to a hydrant on Second St. Our crew took a 2 1/2 from E55 and assisted with knockdown. Air 41 was then added to the box to fill cylinders. The cause was under investigation.




MAY 19,2010 (BOX 50-1)
STEELTON BORO.
Box 50-1 was struck for a structure fire in the 300 block of Lincoln St. First in units arrive to find the second floor off. Chief 50 upgrade the box to 1st alarm. E41 responded and staged, manpower was sent to the second floor. The crew opened up the B-C corner extinguishing hot spots.




MAY 3,2010 (BOX 49-5)
SWATARA TWP.
Heavy rains overnight caused a mudslide which damage the building and the gas meter. As E41 & R49 arrived to investigate the gas leak. The gas ignited inside the business. The box was upgraded and UGI was notified. Crews advanced a 2 1/2 inch attack line into the warehouse to keep the gas fed fire in check, also an 1 3/4 line went to the offices to cut of extension until the gas could be shut down.

MARCH 19,2010 (BOX 40-1 )
PAXTANG BORO.

Air 41 was dispatched to a morning working fire in Paxtang at the 200blk of 30th street.Ch 41-1(POV) assisted by running E40 pumps upon arrival so their driver could assist with with fire attack.The air unit set up and filled cylinders While the crew assisted with extinguishments of hot spots.


FEBRUARY 8,2010
PALMYRA BORO.

Air 41 was dispatched to Palmyra Borough to assist with an early morning house fire. The air unit setup and filled air cylinders. We remained on the scene for about two hours.


FEBRUARY 13,2009 (BOX 456-1)
CHAMBERS HILL,SWATARA TWP.

County dispatched an A.F.A. at the Holiday Inn at 8:22 am. It was then reported there was a fire in the laundry room. E41 arrived 1st and laid to D-C corner. A line was advanced to extinguish a dryer fire. The fire was out in minutes, but other crews had to evacuate the hotel due to very heavy smoke condition throughout the hotel. Ventilation was set up while EMS transported a few and treated many other patients due to smoke & weather conditions.


FEBRUARY 9,2009 (BOX 41-1)
BRESSLER,SWATARA TWP.

Box 41-1 was struck for a house fire in the 500 blk of High St. E41 had smoke visible and laid in, Crews advanced lines and make a good knockdown. Apparatus remained on the scene about three hours performing salvage & overhaul. We were assisted by Engines 49, 44,& 55, Trucks 456 and 32, Rescues 49, Squad 45 and Air 30. Rescue 88 for R.I.T. No injuries were reported.
